aboutELAN

Ever since I was little I wanted the opportunity to live a thousand different lives. Admittedly, I’m a dreamer and I dreamt of the infinite stories and possibilities that exist on this planet. It always made me a little sad knowing how limited our experiences are given the breadth of human existence.

I once worked a corporate job in New York City—a far cry from the freedom and adventure I had imagined for myself. The relentless grind and the growing realization that time was finite pushed me to quit and pursue a lifelong dream of slow travel through South America and Southeast Asia (chasingcorners.com).

That journey reconnected me with my true self—the one who is endlessly intrigued by people, places, and culture.

Photography became my way of capturing that feeling—of stepping into different lives, even if just for a day. My camera became my portal.

Whether it’s a portrait, an editorial assignment, personal work, or a commercial campaign, my goal is to deeply connect with everyone involved in order to create images that feel honest and full of life. I work with businesses, universities, independent schools, brands, and nonprofits, capturing moments that tell a real story.

I operate out of my spacious Lawrenceville studio here in Pittsburgh, though you’ll mostly find me on location, immersing myself in the people and places I have the privilege of photographing. I approach every shoot with curiosity and collaboration, ensuring the process feels as natural as the final images.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me cycling, playing tennis, traveling, or exploring the outdoors with my family—always drawn to life’s curiosities, whether through my camera or simply by being present.

Don’t hesitate to reach out or drop a note on the contact page. Collaboration and imagination are pivotal to my process, and the first step is a conversation.
